A Feast of Colour & Faith

Some weddings are intimate. This one was a jubilant, full-hearted celebration — 500 guests gathered to witness Marc and Nadia begin their life together, surrounded by the people and traditions that shaped them. The ceremony took place at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Gauteng, a meaningful tribute to the couple's deep Portuguese roots and faith. There was an unmistakable energy in that space — the kind that only comes when a community shows up, whole and present, for two people they love. The reception carried that same spirit of abundance into every detail. The hero of the room was the main table: a lush, wildly beautiful installation layered with seasonal blooms in every hue — deep purples, vivid corals, sun-warmed yellows, and blushing pinks — spilling over the table and cascading to the floor. Fresh citrus fruits — oranges, lemons, and peaches — were nestled among the flowers, a nod to both the harvest season and a design trend that felt entirely at home in this warm, festive setting. Hundreds of candles in varying heights and tones cast a flickering golden glow across the room, turning the evening into something that felt both sacred and celebratory.
